BE HERE NOW

“Participants will be focused on the present moment to connect with themselves, others, and their environment. Presence refers to a simple, yet profound shift from ordinary mind wandering to bringing our attention to what is actually happening right now. We are going to work on listening to what the moment asks of us without judging or analyzing the choices we make. No thinking, no planning, just listening. The class consists of different exercises, games where we can work in smaller groups in rotation so we can observe and learn from each other, as well as working with the whole group together to see how our focus is shifting towards the larger picture.”

Cintia Sebők studied at the Győri Tánc és Képzőművészeti iskola in Hungary. From 2014 to 2016 she participated in several projects with Hungarian choreographers. She joined the Central Europe Dance Company for the piece Tiszta Föld while working with Kláry Pataki in Jegyzetek, and We live happily. She then was selected to become part of the twelfth generation of P.A.R.T.S. students, where she graduated in 2019. In her final year she worked with Boris Charmatz on 1000 Gestures, she interned with Rosas and was involved in the creation of Somnia by Anne Teresa and Jolente De Keersmaeker. Sebők joined Rosas for the revival of Bartók/Beethoven/Schönberg and Drumming. Before she joined Rosas full time she worked with Patrik Kelemen and collaborators on Cryptik Bodies.
